21. Which rules apply to the Fisherman’s friend StrongmanRun?
If an obstacle is not surmounted or if the run cannot be pursued due to an injury, the Fisherman’s Friend StrongmanRun is seen as “failed”. To faille also includes unsportsmanlike and undisciplined behavior, illegal aid from the outside, abbreviation of the track, willful destruction and not using the time control matts on the track. The track attendants submit the starter number via 2-way-radio to the organizer. The run can be continued, nevertheless the result list will show all disqualified runners as “failed”. Track attendants at every obstacle will survey the correct and unobstructed course of the run. The track is created in a way to reduce the waiting periods in front of the obstacles. Nevertheless, if there will still be waiting periods, the organizer expects you to behave in an absolutely fair way. Participants, who do need more than 3.5 hours to finish the track, will also not be taken into the ranking. It is not allowed to transmit the starter number to another person. The Fisherman’s friend StrongmanRun will take place regardless any weather conditions.
22. What happens if I hurt myself during the run?
The ambulance, as well as paramedics and other helping persons will be positioned at neuralgic points of the track. Of course you can be sure that there is sufficient medical personal to help you in the case of any injury. If you are even no more able to walk due to your injury, we will bring you to the next first aid tent. The participant declares to be physically healthy and that no medical concerns exist which prevent him/her from participating in a long distance obstacle course.

23. How to I get to the Event site?
The Nürburgring is located 90 kilometers south-western of Cologne and 60 km north-western of Koblenz. The nearest airports are Köln-Bonn ( 80 km) and Düsseldorf (120km).
The recommended ways are:
From direction Cologne coming: A1 until the end of the autobahn.
From direction Trier respectively Luxemburg coming: A 48 to exit Ulmen
From direction Koblenz respectively Bonn coming: A 61 to exit Wehr
From there on, the Nürburgring and our event are marked and you only have to follow the signs.
24. Is there a After run party in addition to the warm up party?
In addition to the Warm Up and Pasta Party on Friday in the Eifelstadl and in the “Eifeldorf”, this year for the first time in StrongmanRun History, there will also be a party after the run for the spectators and the runners.
Besides the stage programme in the paddock until 8 pm, the Eifeldorf will open its gates already at 6 pm. The entrance for all other guests will be 10 pm as usual. All participants will have free access to the Eifelstadl with their ring°cards. If there is any change or additional events/parties, this will be published on www.strongmanrun.de.
25. Why does the Fishermen’s Friend StrongmanRun take place on a Saturday?
With regard to the demand of many participants, the event will this year take place on a Saturday. The advantage is that the runners and their visitors can go to the after-run party subsequent to the run and have a relaxed trip home on Sunday. Additionally than can also use the extensive leisure time facilities of the Nürburgring.
26. How is the start going to take place?
You will start in a whole block. The fastest and most ambitious runners preferably line up in the first third of the starting block, those who are relatively fast, in the second third of the starting block and those whose only aim to pass the finish line, no matter in which time, preferably position themselves in the end section of the starting block. In this context, we rely on your fairness.
What is new, is that it is planned to restrict the starting area, so that only few runners can start at the same time. Due to this, the number of runners is extended right from the beginning and thus there will be shorter waiting periods in front of the obstacles.
27. Why don’t you start in different starting blocks?
A start in different blocks would result in a totally crowded track, which is what we aim to avoid. Furthermore, we also want to remain democratic and fair to everyone of you, so that no one is forced to start in a group he/she doesn’t want to start in, because it may be the case that this person is ambitious enough to start among the first runners.
When building up the obstacles, we will take care that there is enough space for the huge number of participants.
The race management reserves the right to change the starting procedure, if this results in a better course of the run. Should there be any amendment, we will of course publish it, on time, on www.strongmanrun.de.
